Around 2008, I got a digital camera. It was nothing special, just a cheap point-and-shoot from Best Buy. I just wanted something that would capture moments and preserve memories. At some point I realized I could use software to bring back some of the quality that was lost between reality and the jpegs filling up my laptop.
I got hooked. I could literally paint with light and contrast and color to take normal, everyday scenes and turn them into works of art. It was incredible.
God has given artists the gift of art, and it is not trivial. We must tend to it and foster it.
